meet the artist
Fine art is Linda’s true calling, particularly plein air painting where she can capture the unique light, sea, and rugged beauty of the Maritimes on canvas. She initially taught art professionally before dedicating her talents to vector art and design. She attended Salem State University—originally a teacher’s college—where she earned her BA. She later expanded her expertise at the University of New Hampshire, receiving certificates in Graphic Design and Desktop Publishing, and at the University of Massachusetts, earning certificates in Contemporary Communications and Web Design alongside a BS in Computer Science.
Following a decade-long tenure managing product advertising for a private physics corporation, she advanced to Senior Communications Executive at a major U.S. defense contractor. Most recently, she drove technical initiatives across a 200-engineer division at a U.S. DoD research and development center dedicated to national security technology.
Transitioning from her corporate and public sector career, she launched her freelance design practice, where she blends graphics, photography, and fine art into high-impact visuals. To maximize client reach and elevate the user experience, she integrates Search Engine Optimization (SEO) into her creative process. Linda continually explores new ways to merge art and design, crafting thought-provoking visuals for diverse sectors, including DoD-sponsored programs, local businesses, and non-profit agencies.
She constantly explores new techniques, documenting her process to inspire others about the vital role of design in the community. Looking ahead, Linda aims to collaborate on mission-driven projects that make a positive impact, while mentoring fellow creatives to grow their craft. At present, she has returned to her first love: plein air painting. Immersing herself in the shifting light of the outdoors, she is actively preparing her latest collection of fine art for upcoming regional festivals, exhibitions, and gallery shows.
